Screaming Mad George были достаточно известны на мировой андерграунд сцене в 80х. Изначально они занимались постановкой фильмов-ужасов, созданием всевозможных деталей для сценических образов и т.п. Известно, что Screaming Mad George принимала участие в оформлении сцены X-Japan во время концертов 92-93гг. А так же принимала участие в создании видео Silent Jelaousy.
Непосредственно Screaming Mad Geroge and Psychosis была основана в 1992 году Mark и Greg Munson. [По версии с Extasy Records, основатели - Mark and Lisa]. Написанием песен занимались Mark and George. Группа завоевала большую популярность в Японии и даже провела небольшой тур в поддержку мини-альбома Paranoiascape, вышедшего в ноябре 1992. В том же году выступили на Extasy Summit года с песней Paranoiascape.

Их музыку сложно отнести к какому-либо определенному жанру, она содержала в себе элементы панк-рока, готики а так же психоделики. Во время выступлений плевались кровью, использовали странные маски и необычные, мрачные декорации в виде щупальцев животных. Стоит отметить запоминающиеся сценические образы участников группы. Так, например, во время выступления на Extasy Summit легко прослеживалась некая концепция добра и зла: George олицетворял нечто злое, темное, в то время как Lisa явилась на сцену в образе ангела с крыльями.
Известно также о совместной фотосессии вокалиста George с лид-гитаристом группы X-Japan hide (журнал Fool's Mate, Февраль 1993).

Группа распалась (предположительно) в 1994 году. Более подробной информации пока не имеется.
Сами Screaming Mad George продолжают активную деятельность и сотрудничают с многими группами, помогая в создании сценических образов, декораций и т.д. Одни их последних, с кем сотрудничали Screaming Mad George это UnsraW, 2006 год.
